He had another of his turns last night. Not nice for him and a little worrying as it was so hot. When they have these turns they overheat quickly as they
can't pant.

Yep he's fine thanks Wendy. The weather doesn't usually affect him but I am making him drink lots just in case. Bad mummy standing over hm saying
"go get a drink" and little snooples looking at me sadly as if to say "but I had one five minutes ago" lol

Glad Snoop is ok now - how worrying - if you are trying to cool pets down then the Chillow Pillows are worth a try - they work for us and they do ones for pets
Keep drinking Snoop - ( and Tina !!! ) Suzanne |

Glad to hear that Snoop is back to his bouncy self Tina. It is so worrying when they are poorly as they can't really tell you what is wrong. I would love
to know your secret about making him drink. I couldn't get Rosie to take a sip if she doesn't want to nomatter how I try.

rosietoes wrote: Sadly we know what is wrong when he has one of his turns and all we can do is stroke him and talk gently to him until it passes. Snoop is funny, I point to his bowl and tell him to drink and he does, even if he doesn't want to. Now eating is another matter, he is terrible for not wanting to eat ... unless its my dinner or some raw veggies
I knew he was unwell last year when he wouldn't drink and was on the verge of dehydration. I did what was necessary then and got a syringe and just squirted water into his mouth, just a little every ten minutes until finally he drank a little by himself. The vet later told me that was the best thing i could do. So if you are ever worried about Rosie then try that. |

Thanks Tina I never thought of that. She's a poodle and I think she imagines she's royalty and does exactly what she wants.

Poor Snoop ... They can be a worry.
C.J. sends woofs and love I've been concerned about this happening to C.J. as she loves to run when she's out but won't drink water until she gets home. A friend suggested ice cubes but she won't take one of those out side the house either ... little monkey! |
