Scott has finished the latest round of chemotherapy and Nikki is hoping that he will be well enough for them to go home tomorrow. They will have to return to the hospital on Tuesday of next week for the next round of chemo. Scott is on a long and intensive course of various different chemotherapy drugs so the treatment cycle is every few days.
Scott had a CT scan yesterday and the results should be with Nikki tomorrow. When the tumour was last measured it was around 12cm x 10 cm x 11cm and so the news tomorrow will hopefully be that the tumour is shrinking. It certainly appears to be shrinking when I compare Scott over my various visits :
Tomorrow Scott will have bone marrow harvested for testing. This is part of the ongoing tests to make sure the cancer hasn't spread to his bone marrow
Scott is laughing more and its fantastic to see him in less pain - he's an absolute angel when it comes to being given medicine - the nurses all love him.
Aunty Gundula came to see him today and Scott loves the little people that Aunty Elaine brought for him when she came to visit a couple of weeks ago.
Please keep Nikki and Scott in your thoughts - I passed on the wishes as requested..
Debbie xx
