Do have a go Joan, I have started with it too, and love the results, even though mine are very basic at the moment. It takes a bit of practise just like
anything else, but it is a very relaxing, stress busting craft.

I would love to see Japanese designs too. Christine also got me started. I work nights as a Marie Curie nurse and when my patients are settled and asleep I
find it relaxing but unlike reading, not TOO relaxing that I fall asleep! I am working through Christines videos and get the Parchment Craft magazine. I
don't know of any other resources I could be looking at for ideas but if anyone knows please let me know. Where did you get the japanese patterns? Kay

Ok, I have posted some parchment pictures for you. The first five are mine, and the rest are pictures from the Japanese parchment pattern books.
If anyone would like copies of the patterns I would be happy to scan them for you. The instructions are in Japanese, but it doesn't matter as they are easy to follow. Sue |

Your parchment pictures are beautiful, especially the Japanese ones. Where did you find the book of patterns, does it have an ISBN number so that i may find a
local stockist? I would love to do the fan with blue birds, and the other one with the pink roses.

The books are called Parchment Fairies. I think they are available from Wight Cat Crafts. I know I got one of mine from there. They seem to be by Pergamano
Japan, but I can't read anything else!
I didn't do all of the pictures, I'm not that clever! Most of them I just photographed from the book. I have done quite a few of the Japanese ones, they take a long time and a lot of patience as one mistake can ruin the whole thing! Sue |
