Thank you all for your support and kind wishes for my Mum. I took Dad to visit her this afternoon and was shocked at the difference 24 hours can make. When I saw her Thursday at home she was fine, but today she looks really poorly and her breathing is not good. The doctor has put her on antibiotics, and diuretics to reduce the fluid in her lungs, and she is having oxygen. Poor Dad is so worried. I am hoping she will have a better night and that we will see an improvement tomorrow. Rosemary xx
Monday: I am relieved to say that Mum is improving slowly. She is looking better, although her breathing is still not right. Hopefully we should have a better idea today how things are progressing, as she should get a visit from the doctor - no-one about at the weekend other than a duty doc and the nursing staff. Dad is coping quite well, bless him, but insists on staying the whole 5 hours of visiting time, which is quite tiring. Your hugs are much appreciated.
