What is the nicest compliment you have ever received? I thought of this last week, when my friend told me how much her husband liked speaking to me on the
phone. Apparently I always sound happy, and he would like a recording of my voice to cheer him up when he is down! I had no idea I had a 'happy'
voice, and his compliment cheered me up too! What nice things have people said to/about you?

Emily told me I was the best Mummy in the world this morning which was nice ........ but it was straight after I had given her some spending money for her trip
to Germany today ..... methinks it could be connected

As a long term dieter (very long term 18 months) yesterday I saw a women I know well but not seen for a while and smiled at her she smiled back but carried on
walking then stopped, turned round, looked at me then said "it is you" you look so well and different.

Many years ago I was with a class of children we were talking about hair colour. At the time I was vainly trying to cover up my 'Mallen streak' One of
the little girls looked at my hair and said " You have got lovely shining silver hair" I never tried to cover it up again!

Some of mum's friends have told her she's lucky to have such a lovely daughter and another one said that I'm knowledgeable and really interesting
to talk to. I think mum was proud, and that meant more to me. Silly at my age when you think about it. Do we want our parents to be proud of us or are we
pleased that others think they did a good job bringing us up.

I've recently had a new hair style - modern funky and chunky and also coloured to hide the grey. So many people have said that I look ten years younger -
a lot of the compliments from men! Pretty good feeling when you are 65!!

when my children were younger ,i was told that they always looked well dressed and were very polite.i have never forgotten this.

I think being told that I was like a "breath of fresh air" by a couple of people last year. They said that if they were down or bogged down in work,
chatting with me would leave them feeling positive and refreshed. Wish it would work on me too sometimes he he
 Having spent my whole life judging myself on
being as good a wife, mother and employee as possible, it was lovely to be complimented on something that was purely about me as a person

Many years ago when I was working in a Foreign Exchange Brokers in London, one of the directors told me I had the most beautiful coloured eyes he had ever
seen, made my day and many more after that too!

Being told I have a bubbly personality and a positive outlook by people, especially when they realise I have MS.
And also (name dropping here  ) Glenda Waterworth said on her blog when I won the Peacock Summer Party CD 'Jill, a delightfully cheerful lady who has MS,
but always seems to have a sunny smile on her face whenever she visits Graphicus.' Thats just made my day!!!

when my children were little i showed them my wedding alban and i said this was when mummy was a princess and daddy was a prince and he married his princess i
thought no more about it until a week later when i picked sharon up from school and was met by all her little friend who all wanted to meet a live princess

The most recent compliment I received was after taking part in the first Ready Stead Craft. I'd been having a really bad day at work, and it cheered me up

I'm not quite sure it was a complement but Andrew (No 1 son), after looking at our Wedding album said " cor Mum you were a looker"!!!

When I tried for promotion a few years ago, my boss was asked for a verbal referance, her response was, " you can't have her she's too f.......ing
good to loose." This w at a time when there was loads of upheaval within our NHS Trust, and I was lacking in self confidence.
