Internet vs real shops

Posts: 414 (25/07/2008 22:51:42) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Love both internet and browsing the local craft shops, especially when I can rely on the quality from certain sites but like many sometimes you need to be amongst the mass of crafting stash, although my local craft shop has only just started taking cards instead of just cash, so i have to be VERY careful what items drop into the old basket. Hate hate hate shopping for anything else be it food, shoes etc etc either internet or in person just doesn't give any pleasure at all!!!! Clair

We have about 4 local craft shops, but with the exception of one, they do not carry an enormous amount of choice. One of them I have actually stopped going in since it was taken over, they have loads of "kits" and things to stick on cards, not the sort of thing I want. I surf the net to find the cheapest prices and delivery. There are quite a few with free delivery, and the products are still cheaper than most shops. I do feel a little guilty not supporting my local shops, but at the end of the day it is my hard earned money I am spending. The only kind of shopping I wont have delivered is food shopping. I do like to choose the fresh produce. I have gone off a lot of shopping these days, as some of the people serving could do with a course in customer management. I hate being served by some-one constantly talking to a colleague. On more than one occasion I have left the goods on the counter and walked off. Grumpy old woman comes to mind lol. Coralie

They have been on top of the craft circus in Sweden for the last 15 years and they have a sort of monopoly here, so the prices they charge for their craft goods are absolutely criminal!!! They are very expensive. So when I got hold of an English craft magazine in 2005 and saw what really fun!!! things they showed, I began to roam the British craft arena and after having been thinking for a while, I realised that, buying from Panduro or ordering from Britain with the expensive pound.....was rather equal. Since I consider UK the leading "card nation" in the world, I prefer to buy craft goodies from UK, and that means buying on the internet. Of course I sometimes go into the Panduro shop here in Lund, to buy the essentials, like cardstock and paper and clear embossing powder. But the interesting stuff, like Victorian CD´s, stamps etc I buy on the Internet. Eva xx
