Sad news about the swaps forum

I am shocked and appalled that anyone calling themselves a Sheenie would stoop so low as to steal from our lovely Joanna. I've never used the swaps as I can't bear to part with any of my crafting things (you never know when they may come in handy!) but I'm sure some will miss it. The bad people who have done this awful thing left Joanna with no choice. They know who they are and I hope they feel suitably ashamed of their mean spirited actions. Sending 100% positive and supporting vibes to Joanna and everyone at Sheenie Towers. Big Hugs.

I keep everything I buy, which is why I can't move in my craft room. I support Joanna and Richard in their decision but am saddened that they had to make such a decision in the first place. Also sending positive support to everyone involved in this nasty business, especially Joanna and Richard. Love Jan x

Do people who copy these cd's or buy the copies feel this sense of achievement I wonder? Or do they feel ashamed that they have stolen from people that have worked so very hard, in building a business up from scratch and that have given this forum to us as a way of a thank you. I am so saddened and disgusted that whoever you are, you had the bl**dy cheek to do this right under Joanna's nose. Luv Pauline xxx

I have never used the swap forum, have thought a couple of times of putting something on that I had a duplicate of (not CDs), but hadn't got round to it. I am amazed that people can be so cheeky (for the want of a better word) as to do something like this on Joanna's forum. Makes you wonder what else they get up too, that "bends the rules".

Which is how I would have hoped that you would all agree is how it should be I believe that there is no law against selling goods that are NOT duplicated in any way. By the owners taking this forum away it says that I was GUILTY but I was not. I am angry at this decision that the many should suffer because of the few. So what next I have a few stamps , papers etc that are of no use to me but could be of some use to others but YOU have decided that this shouldnt happen I will be withdrawing from this forum as of now Marc

Posts: 15234 (01/08/2008 19:36:31) Administrator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Marc - you are completely entitled to your opinion - but I think it's a very very odd one my point is I am not having a swaps forum where people are exchanging home made copies of my CDs - so now you want me to check with everyone exactly what is exchanging hands before the swap goes ahead - you have no divine right to anything on the forum - Richard and I pay a lot to keep the forum as advert free and pleasant as we can and the costs are significant - surely I am allowed to choose what is on it? sorry but I think your anger is misplaced and very odd - disappointment is understandable - attacking me is just plain horrid - I am so upset of course you are innocent - it's the old old story - always the unkind and the uncaring spoil things for the innocent - it's the same the world over but by being unkind and aggressive to me - well it just takes the biscuit as it happens this is also not only about copies - it is also about swaps that have gone wrong and we are immediately expected to pick up the pieces - this happens many times - it's very costly and unpleasant for Tina and Katrina as well as Richard and I I am just amazed by your post Joanna

What I am saying is that why should the many lose out to the few gits ( not what I wanted to put ) . We should stand up to those people rather than back down , and roll over. If we think something is going on that shouldnt then it should be dealt with . Joanna , I am sympathetic to the problem , read it again , I am disappointed at the decision we cant let them win . I really can't believe that someone has been so cheeky - I don't think that word is anywhere near strong enough to describe what the copiers have done. So sorry Joanna and sorry for forum members too (me included) who have now lost the chance to swap things that we had bought and found weren't our cup of tea. I haven't used the swaps section for a while but in the past I did some swaps and it was great. What a shame that as usual the minority spoil it for others. We did not take this decision lightly, we talked it over at length but sadly some people can't be trusted to use the board properly or legally so it had to go. Joanna and Richard pay a huge amount of money to keep this forum going and the boards (all of them) are a privilege, not a right. Joanna gives so much to this forum so when she makes a decision based on not only legallity but on how it affects her financially we have to accept this. I am sorry you are not happy but the decision has been made and will not be changing. Tina

Posts: 464 (01/08/2008 20:09:35) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I have just taken time to read right through this thread,I have looked at swaps,never used them,but Marc!!! come on,even if I did use them,do you really expect Joanna, to continue to pay for a board where not just one or two people have been cheating and stealing from her but quite a few people have,I know even if I had used the swaps,I would agree in full,with what she has already done,in fact I think I would have gone much further,I would have not allowed them back on my forum,I would also have informed the police, I would not have been very happy at all,that people who I thought of as friends would steal from me on my own blooming forum,so sorry Marc,but you are welcome as far I am concerned to leave the forum,I do think like Joanna, it is as we would say in Fife, very fishy to have you ranting at poor Joanna,who has done nothing at all to harm you,or even the one's who in plain words!!! stole from her,so why you are so angry,I really don't know,I am angry that people could do this to such a loving,gentle and kind person like Joanna,please forgive me Joanna,for going on and on,just can't take it in,that people could be so nasty and cruel,Remember Joanna,we all still love you and your CDs etc Please take care Love you lots. I think it is terrible people would do this. I used the swap forum once to swap a genuine cd rom from c&c but then decided i wanted to keep it and asked for my post to be deleted. No one wanted it anyway. I can't believe people would do that to you Joanna. I think your post was very calm, i wouldn't be able to stay so calm. You could not wish to meet a kinder more generous person than Joanna, she is always the first to give help and the benefit of the doubt but some people and they know who they are have pushed her too far this time. I hope that this will now be an end to this thread Joanna knows (hopefully) who her friends and supporters are and doesn't need this dragging on and upsetting her after all she has to work on a new CD to keep us happy.
