Does anyone know the size of these cards, as they suit the designs on the CD's to perfection.

I am building up a collection of Joanna's CD's, mostly as a result of seeing the demonstrations on C&C. The cards that Joanna seems to favour, are
large and square, and to my inexperienced eye, larger than you can get out of a A4 card.
Does anyone know the size of these cards, as they suit the designs on the CD's to perfection. |

At a guess ! 8" x 8" and you can make them yourself out of two pieces of A4. hope this helps

Joanna's sample makers are forum regulars so I am sure that they will respond and tell you what they use.

I buy A3 card from www.craftcreations.co.uk and fold in half and then trim - the leftover pieces I can then keep
in a *useful* box lol

I also buy larger sheets of card but very often I make my own 8 inch square card ! That's because with some of Joanna's beautiful card ( such as the
tapestry card etc.,) it is the only way.
Take two pieces of A4. Trim one to 21 cms x 21 cms. Score and fold the other A4 piece over to make the front to match and stick the excess to the back of the card. You can add a strip of backing paper and/or mirri card to the back to turn it in to a feature. Just popped quite a few 21 cms square cards on my gallery as they are one of my favourite sizes !! I have various ways of making larger cards but an easy way if you only have A4 card, is to cut 2 sheet into an 8 inch squares. They can then either be stuck
together with DS tape or punch 2 holes and thread ribbon through and tie in a bow, or punch several holes through both cards and lace them together. I'm
sure several more ideas will crop up from the other sample makers and Sheenies.

Thank you so much ladies, and especially Joanne for being so helpfull. My Heavenly Cards CD arrived yesterday, so I feel a "play" coming on.
Sonia, I know what you mean about the tapestry card. I got some in the Black and White from Joanne a few weeks ago. It is so lovely that I am reluctant to use it

Well I use 2 A4 sheets and do as others say trim off the excess - and normally add a topper to the back over where the line is

Great tips for using 2 A4 sheets.
Thank you I'll give that a try. |
