Carol when our dog Trudy had to go in to have a few teeth out they put her on some kind of drip which basically meant she was only just and just unconsious but
they monitered her all the time it cost a lot more to have this done but it was safer for Trudy as she is 12 now and also has a heart murmer and breathing
problems ,we and the vet were concerned she would not make it otherwise thats why we agreed to this, dont know if your vets do this carole? But im sure
everything will be fine and i will be thinking of you

Yes, they are putting her on a drip (an extra £50 odd) for safety and as it's such a short operation, hopefully she will be fine. Can't help worrying
though! The total bill will be about £350 so I think they are doing everything they can to make sure she's ok. Seems a lot of money but we don't have
too much option really. No insurance as it got into the realms of Monopoly money once she hit 10. But I have always kept some money in the budget to cover
things like this thank heavens.

Yup - her paw's fine now thanks Lesley! Must have been a wasp sting! We have a lot of apples which have fallen so there are quite a few wasps around that
area of the garden............... probably drunk on fermented apple juice!

Have only just seen your post, Carol. Hope everything goes well today - I'm sure your lovely doggie will be fine, but I know how worrying it is when your
pet is unwell. You definitely made the right decision to have the op. Sending lots of very positive vibes your way.

Lots of hugs and vibes Carol. Its an extremely hard choice, but if the op will prevent her from being in pain, its the best thing.

Not sure what time Scally's op is Carol, but am sending you both lots of hugs and good luck vibes. You made the right call and vets are very very careful
when anaesthetising elderly pets so I am sure she is in safe hands

What a worry for you, and such a difficlut decision. My 14yr old dog had 4 teeth out at few months ago, and got over it fine, although she was out of sorts for
a few days, as would be expected for an older dog. Hope everything works out ok, and your little dog is soon back to normal. Best wishes. S. xx
