I am due to go and have an hour flying lesson today - present from wifie at Christmas.......
But looking outside at the weather have a feeling this will be cancelled - where did the summer go or whens it coming more like Grumble |

dont want to put you off Richard but a friend and her husband had a balloon flight booked for their 60th birthdays and they are 63 this year. Still waiting for
decent weather to do it in.

And no not planing a JS Plane to get me to Peterborough - I not sure I have enough spare time to take up flying as a hobby - maybe in a couple of years tho :0)))) |

Did anyone see TOPGEAR the other week - was last in the series and they had a competition against a German TV Car Programs presenters???
They flew to meet them in 3 two seater SPITFIRES - oh that would be an experience and a half to be able to fly in (as a passenger) a Spitfire - right better stop dreaming and got on with my work.............. |

Hi Richard
I'm suprised you're not planning to fly to Peterborough. There is a small private airfield at Sibson, which is VERY close. Just think of all the time you would save ... not to mention the potential traffic jams you'd miss. Oooh, I could wave as you come over!!!! Stephanie |

opt for helicopter lessons Richard. Definitely the way to go. Have done quite a few trips in them. - ok mainly the bigger ones )- though have done a few trips
in a jetranger. My best trips were Gatwick to Aberdeen and back in a day - fantastic views over holy island etc on the way up, and perhaps even better Gatwick-
Penzance. left Gatwick 10 am flew down the railway line to Portsmouth - then along the coast all the way to Penzance. got there at 12 pm. lunch on the beach
and a swim - then back in the helicopter and back indoors by 5 pm! way to go!

I must admit I hadn't thought about Joanna's samples, lol.
Helicopters are more dangerous than light aircraft. Have been several fatal crashes locally in the past few years. We do not want anything to happen to Joanna (or you) . Couldn't you invite the IW camera crew to do a location shoot at Sheenie Towers instead??? |

Me taking a baby video from the front of a Helicopter going into the Grand Canyon - a year or so ago while attending a craft trade show in Las Vegas Also in the same helicopter was a couple of friends you might recognise....... Not sure what they have found there but thats not the Grand Canyon Glenda......

TOPGEAR is just wonderful isn't it? We couldn't stop laughing thru that German challenge - their mode of arrival then one car on top of the other
racing .........! They're a bunch of idiots - but it's one of the best programs on telly!
