Did you see The One Show earlier this week where it said that google are visiting every street in the country and filming every home so that anyone can see it
on the internet?
Do you have concerns about this or do you not care either way. Personally I hate the idea. |

I've seen my roof on google earth.
I can't make head nor tail of that website. I downloaded it ages ago and still don't know what to do with it. |

I don't think they'd get to mine. They'd have to get past the guard room first (lol).

I find it a bit strange that someone can be taking pictures of your house without you knowing. I have seen mine. I washed my nets at the weekend.

well i dont like it my nets are clean but i dont like to be seen by nosy people how does this work can they sit and watch you on the net know when your house
is empty it gets more and more like big brother

Multi map have this.
go to multimap.com type in your post code and the map will come up then under the zoomy bit are 3 options click 'birds eye view' and you will get photos of your house/street then zoom in and see if your nets are clean and the garden weeded! And which neighbours have new garden furniture. (it does not work on all areas but covers most). |

This is strange this is what i was going to ask about .I have had a look at there website It seems there is a free download. But i cannot work out how much
they charge for things like the 3D viewer etc.Can anyone help.I was interested because i have relatives living in Australia.I know there are a lot of clever
people on the forum so i think someone will know.

It's all free to download, and you can print pictures off it free as well. I've just done mine.

Amazing! just been on multimap and found my house! cant get in close, but close enough to see that my dear son has left the garage door open AGAIN!!

The multimap birds eye thingy isn't available in my area, thank goodness! I don't have to go and weed my front drive now, quite so urgently!
Although it would be good to see what my neighbour is building in his garden last nght, he was busy out there for hours and it still doesn't resemble anything I can put my finger on! Jane xxx |

The pics that are on Google earth are not bang up to date- although they may be in the UK. Out here in Cyprus if you look at where our house is, although you
can see our swimming pool has water in it, our next door neighbours has not which means they have not yet moved in and they have been here 5 years!! :LOL
It is done by satelite and my son cannot understand why they cannot do it 'realtime'. I will go on multimap and see if I can see my sons house on that, I did not know about that. Helen |

Just checked mine and I don't have Birds Eye view on thank goodness. BUt the Aerial view is ancient! There are trees down our hedge that were taken up
before my 6 year old Grand Daughter was born!!!
