Think I told you a few months ago about my son, Andrew who had applied to study music at Strathclyde University - there were 600 applicants for 20 places. He had to submit a CD and they narrowed it down to 100 for interviews / auditions, which he had. He was told after the audition that he hadn't been successful, but was on a short reserve list. He had to phone the University on Tuesday when the exam results came out and tell them he was still interested as places could become available if other poor kids had failed exams, or maybe gone for other courses. We have had a long wait till now, but he has just had a call to say he has been accepted! I am sooooo happy for him and proud of him. All he has ever wanted to do is be a musician and he was really stumped as to what else to do if he didn't get in. Off to make him a card now - a big one, I think!
