As a number of forum member know I have been looking to replace my Epson printer. I have asked numerous people and looked at the Web reviews . I have been
told by suppliers that this Epson will be perfect and then by another it is rubbish. I have resurrected an hp which will not last long either but it does print
on card. If the hp would have been expected to have a long life, I would have settled for a cheap and cheerful Epson. But no, I have to find an Epson which
will print on card( to my dismay this morning a friend told me that she had been advised that putting cardstock through the new range of Epsons will damage the
rollers. Ow).
To cut the story , I finally got through to a comfortable sounding customer adviser named Geoff at Epson!!!!!!! He listened carefully to what I wanted to do with the new printer and stated that none of the current range should be used for more than Epson 250 gm photo paper and it must be epson.. I want to use it for up to 300 gm card stock, vellum and Acetate.That is the bad news.
Here is the GOOD NEWS.. Epson are bringing out a sturdier range of printers in 2009 spring that will do all we ask.
The gentleman inquired" what sort of CDs?" So of course I said the leading ones like Joanna Sheen's and burbled on about there were a lot of people out there buying Craft CDs to print out the components for cards. He very carefully asked for Joanna Sheen's name and he will be looking at the website with a view to seeing what our printer requirements are and will try to pass them on to the manufacturer.
Have I made a breakthrough? He did sound very reliable and he has noted my contact email on his calender for when the full information comes out.

.. To complete the range our PC is an HP and my laptop is an HP - do you think they might give me a huge discount when it comes to replacing
the PC which I will have to do soon
