Good news...........I went up to Suffolk on Tuesday to stay the night so as to be there to accompany Allison ( DIL) to Bourne Hall in Cambridge (fertility
clinic) for her scan the results of which were to determine her chance at I.V.F. We were both a bit edgy as not really sure what the outcome was going to be
but obviously very hopeful. Anyhow she had her internal scan (poor love I am not very good with anything like that) and they found 1 follicle only, they sent
us to the waiting area while they conferred with the Doctor, came back and said that another blood test was needed before a decision would be made as to
whether they go ahead with her I.V.F. Obviously she was very worried but we kept chatting and saying to each other that they hadn't as yet said
"no", so look on the bright side type of thing. Anyway we were called back in and they told Allison that they were hopeful of proceeding and
said she would have to start injections if that was the decision. However, they still needed the results of the blood test which wouldnt be arriving until the
following day. But the good thing was that they arranged for her to actually take 6 days of injections away with us, and told her to carry on with nasal spray
and that they would call in the morning with a decision of whether or not she should give herself the injections, well as you can probably guess by the first
couple of words they called in the morning nd told her to start the injections. She had her first one last night. She still has to take the nasal spray but
half dose, she has her next appointment next Wednesday the 10th to have another scan.... so thank you all you lovely "Sheenies" for your support and
positive vibes that you sent us they certainly worked.I will keep you informed and updated x
On a dismal note we got back from Cambridge and found the rear windscreen of my car shattered, apparently trhe gardeners had been cutting the edges of the verges and a stone flew up and hit it, lovely!!. Had to drive home with clingfilm over it as the glass needed to be ordered direct from Audi as it's privacy glass and Autoglass dont carry it in stock.....what a palava! thanks again everyone x
