I came across Bookcrossing a couple of years ago when I found a labelled book in the waiting room at the chiropractor. I have to admit that I've been lax
about it: I registered a couple of books which I still haven't left anywhere. I did 'release' two books but they have never been reported as found.
You need to pick your place carefully, beacause in some places (eg trains) they will just be swept up as rubbish by cleaners. Coffee shops and charity shops
seem to be good places.
You can find a list on the website where books have been left so can search for your local town. The address is www.bookcrossing.com |
