As I can't get out much, can anyone tell me the best place to buy papers to use for printing images from cd-roms - economical photo papers and the like.
Any advice on what type of paper you recommend would be so much appreciated.
Thank you!!!! San x

i use both the high gloss and matt A4 photo sheets depending on the look I want. In the south I go to the "works" as they are the cheapest in my
area. Enjoy your crafting whatever you use.

Hi San
If you can't get to Staples - they do have an online store - not sure of minimum order - but you could see if they do the 160gsm Text & Graphics card & the Staples inexpensive photo paper that Joanna uses. Website is www.staples.co.uk HTH Ros x |

Had a quicky look at the website and the 160gsm text & graphics card is item number 381016 and they have a page of photo papers.

For backing papers I often prefer matt paper and just use a premium inkjet paper from WHSmith. For gloss finish I get photo paper from Jessops

Tesco do an excellent satin sheen at 120gms.. 500 in a pack, ridiculous price compared to some. Staples online is ok, but the P&P puts the price right up,
because it's heavy. Also www.vikingonline.co.uk are very good, and fast delivery. Personally I don't like
glossy for decoupage, except perhaps for a car etc, but I buy photo paper just for photos (on cards), and mine is 10 sheets for £1. HTH luv, JACQUI x

San
I use Tesco's premium quality printer paper. It is 120 gsm. 250 sheets in a pack. Now most of the printing I do from CD's is for tea-bag folding, background papers and inserts. I have not done much decoupage printing but have had good results with satin and pearl finished photo papers as well as using the already mentioned Tesco paper. Photo papers are from Staples, 25 or 50 A4 sheets in a pack, but not their economy range. |
