Jacqui, if your Sakura pen is going clear whilst you're tracing, you're using the wrong pen. The one you want is amongst the first set, where it says Koi brushes etc. In there is a white gel pen for parchment craft. I have been using it for some time and it's brill. MaureenW We get the message....... you've got three of the proper pens

Hi Jacqui, Is it a pen or pencil you are haveing a problem with? The white sumo pencil , is used for parchment and the leads write a silvery grey colour. I use
mine all the time, as when you have coloured embossed or whatever you can rub out the pencil marks and bingo.

I used to use a nib pen and white ink for parchment, Istill have the ink unfortunately I can't get the lid off. Any suggestions to this problem will be
gratefully recieved Iused to love my nib pen as you can do really fine lines, though it does take a lot longer.

It was dawn Bibby who said about the white gel pen, and I got 3 of those to swap over as i am forever tapping them to get the white through. I did a bib, with
the white glaze, and that turned out nice, I didn't mind the thicker line on that. I have ended up using the proper white parchment pen for the baby
dress, but I don't really like it, as someone just said, it''s much too thick for delicate lines. Sheila sent me a link last night for the proper
parchment pencils, so BEFORE I found the bit of grey lead. I ordered 3 of those as well. I really must try the pen and ink.
Pauline, what I always do to stop lids getting stuck, is smear the tiniest bit of vaseline, round the screw grooves, and I mean the tiniest. Works perfectly, I can't imagine the jars etc I've thrown away because the lids have got stuck. HTH luv Jacqui xx |

Pauline I use a lot of inks in parchment and when I find a lid that is stuck I run the neck of the bottle under hot water, this seems to loosen it and I can
then open the bottles. Hope this helps. Mo x
