Re raw chicken, sort it and cut it on a colour coded plastic chopping board used only for meat. Wipe over with salt and wash in hot soapy water; salt also cleans a wooden breadboard too.
AND to bring it back to crafts, dampen a piece of card or even a piece of silk with clean water, sprinkle on some real salt crystals and leave to dry.The salt takes the colour out and leaves a magical background AND you can save the salt crystals and use them again for the same job, but not on the dinner table!
