I comment when I can but I do feel that putting the same comment on everyone's threads can leave people thinking that I'm just commenting by rote and it doesn't actually mean vey much.....

So I try and vary my comments and despite the fact that I can talk for England, I do find that I run out of different things to say. I think people would feel a bit insulted if I just put "lovely card" or something on everyone's threads. It would become a bit meaningless. Plus I don't always get time to comment on them all.

And I think we all like to show off what we've done/made - there's nothing nicer that coming on and reading a load of lovely comments about something you've spent hours making........ and comments from people who are a darned sight better than me at making cards - builds my confidence up no end. But it isn't showing off as in "look at me" - it's a sharing of an idea, a look, a way of doing something, etc that you hope other people like - or something you need help with.

Agh, I'm waffling but I hope you all know what I mean.

But I don't see any problem with the fact that I might comment more on other threads than on card threads....... anyone who's having a tough time or has lovely news to share will take precedence over me commenting on a card - caring about what happens to my friends on here is more important to me than what someone has made no matter how stunning their work is - I don't have time to add something to every thread since I work full time and only have a little time in the evenings to go through the days happenings......... so my friends come first and the amazing work shown on this forum comes a very close second.
