I think very often a new crafter and I mean NEW, who
HAS
only just started can feel intimidated when looking at some of the creations on here, but I'd just like to say we were
ALL
newbies once upon a time and I'm pretty sure if we all looked back now at some of our early creations we'd cringe. Like
Jayne
has just said, it's nice to get the support that we do on here, whatever it's for. I've seen a couple of times people come on here, say they've just started, and yet when browsing the web and looking at galleries, I've seen up to around 50
cards (one just recently actually)from the same person, why? I don't know why people do that, to me that's just attention seeking, and I have no time for them.( sorry , I'm pretty well known for my straight talking!)
I'm like Eva if someone asks for a comment and REALLY wants an answer, then I will give an idea or say it looks fine if it does. I'm not a professional at all, I make lots of cards for customers, lots of themed ones, and I do what THEY want and not perhaps what I would like to do, but that's the name of the game, but that doesn't give me the right to criticise someone elses work, but if I think something would make it look better AND THEY'VE ASKED then I'll reply. There are some I don't like,& would rather refrain from replying than say something I don't mean. When I put mine on, I never ask people to look,(because I've done what the customer has asked for to the best of my ability) I just thank them if they do, but if I say "does this look ok? " then I appreciate an HONEST answer. I don't think there's many people on here that would give an absolutely honest reply (and I'm one of them) if it would hurt that persons feelings.
I mentioned the blogs in my previous post, and very often there are certain blogs that want a username. and I'm blowed if I can make my comment come up, then I'll say "I tried to leave you a comment" and then put it on the thread. I agree about some comments, I try NOT to say the same thing as someone else, but very often everything I can think of, has been used, so I end up with "lovely card" and TFS xx
