We ditched BT and went all in with Sky for phone, line rental, broadband and tv and we're paying about £20 less a month. Hubby re-negotiated his i-phone contract and with a lot of haggling got it down from £40 to £13 a month! Laugh

Negotiate any insurance policies you have and do plenty of shopping around, it's worth it, especially on car and house insurance.

I wear more layers in the winter so as to not have the heating on during the day, unless it really has to go on. Lights off if not in the room and all non-essentials not on stand-by now. We also keep a blanket in the lounge so if it's chilly during summer or autumn, we wrap that over us and during the winter we keep a spare quilt in the lounge so we can snuggle under that in the evenings.

Got cavity wall insulation here thanks to our Landlords putting it in before we moved in. We noticed a big difference on our bills last year compared to where we used to live and this place is bigger than the last one!

Taking advantage of really good deals on basics such as toilettries, etc. They have no sell-by dates, won't go off and it's better getting them half price, etc, now, instead of paying full price when you really need them later on. Also shopping more at Asda now as they're working out cheaper than the other places.
