I was going to say the same thing Chris, one has to be very careful if you are taking other medication as drug leaflets are unlikely to tell you all of the possible herbal remedy conflicts, they possibly are not documented.

Are you sure that it isn't Devil's Claw, that is an anti-inflammatory. If it is then check this,,,

Contraindications

1) Avoid with stomach inflammation and ulcers, due to bitter iridoid substances, which stimulate stomach acid secretions.
2) Avoid with gallstones due to choleretic effects of this herb.
3) Avoid combining this herb with Warfarin or other similar anti-coagulants as research shows one person experienced purpura (bleeding under the skin) when combined. Further research is required.
4) Do not combine this herb with Ticlopidine or other platelet inhibiting drugs, due to the risk of purpura.
5) Due to protective qualities against arrhythmias, interaction with arrhythmic drugs should be considered.ESCOP
6) Caution is advised where there is any imbalance in blood sugar due to this herbs hypoglycaemic action which may interfer with insulin levels

I would suggest Googling for contraindications for any herbal remedy, I know that camomile oil interacts with warfarin but the pharmacist didn't know that, it almost killed a woman I knew.
