I love this list of green things!
It's so true that we have too much packaging etc etc these days - our whole way of life has changed and it's quite sad in many ways, when you look back and see how self-sufficient we were in the UK. 'Back in the day' mum's did stay home more (I'm not saying they should), and food was bought in fresh more often with less packaging and we ate proper meals, not ready meals; - I am lucky enough to remember this with my mum, although she works more hours now.
All these newfangled things to make life easier - Fruit/Veg available all year round and from all over the world have had knock on effects.

On the carrier bag thing - why can't we have paper bags like they do in the US (not that I want us to have everything the same as US), and ban plastic bags full stop?
I always stop and think of those news items on marine life now when reaching for a carrier bag. I do not want to cause the death of a turtle just by needing a bag to carry my shopping home!
Interesting topic, and very thought provoking too.
