Most of my 'old techniques' cards have been made from scratch, using stencils maybe, but no machines as such. I've been doing more paper patchwork Christmas cards, no machines necessary, and a stamped image for decoration, or a teabag star.

Of course parchment craft designs don't use machines, but since I first started it, grids and stencils have come in, as well as lots of tools to make it quicker. I guess most techniques use short-cuts now, but I do like to make a card from scratch, maybe using stamps but no computer-generated toppers or greetings. Trouble is, they don't sell as well as the ones made using some kind of machine!
