I check the phone when I get in from work in case there have been any important messages whilst I have been out.

I have had phone calls from 0208 433 6080 and 0845 206 8173 on a fairly regular basis ... they only let the phone ring 5 times because they never trigger the voicemail service.

I have googled both numbers and they are telemarketing firms who others have found to be pests. It appears that the Telephone Preference Service doesn't cover surveys only sales. Grrrrrr.

It has got that bad that I don't bother answering the phone when I am in ... if it's family, friends or something important I will ring back as I have a call package that covers geographic numbers in the UK 24/7.

I think I'm going to resort to my DH's technique of advising the firms that call that we have just added their name to our blacklist!

If anyone reading this is considering using a telemarketing firm please think again because I will NOT take part in surveys, and if I find out the name of any firm behind what I consider a nuisance call I will go out of my way to ensure that neither me or any of my family and friends buy anything they provide or have anything to do with them.

The last call I did answe, they claimed to be ringing on behalf of my bank. I politely asked for my number to be removed from their database but I've had callls from that number since (whilst out).
