Jacqui , I agree I have enjoyed reading this interesting thread, thank you for starting it.

I lived at home till I married at 18 , my dad had died when I was 16 .At the time I felt very grown up its only looking back I realise how young I was . Our daughter left home to get married at 22 she has been married 22 years now and my son married divorced 5 years later came home for a while until he could get back on the property ladder , We are used to being on our own now but they visit very often and my daughter has bought a house round the corner to us originally as a project to sell on but likes it so much here she is selling her house to move here, that will be lovely, I feel so sorry for youngsters who have no choice but to leave home it must be very scary however reading the above posts on how that happened to some of our Sheenie and what they have achieved in their lives despite having no choice but to go it alone I have the greatest respect for them and they should be very proud
