That's rotten. I hope you're feeling better now. It has to have come from abroad being called at that hour of the morning and, of course, that it was rupees, so it won't be stopped by the telephone preference service, but it might be an idea to see if you can get a phone with a caller display and an answering machine that lets you do call screening. I've got that and what I do is have the phone set to answer after six rings if I don't pick it up, whether I'm here or not. That allows me to look at the number and decide whether to leave it or not. If I leave it the call goes through to the answer machine and I can decide if I was right to leave it or not and call the caller back if I was wrong to. It does give me a lot of peace of mind. There are phones now that can also block numbers so you can block any caller that a number shows up for and won't be called by them again.
