My daughters' name is Kellie (I was a fan of Peyton place!smiley: happy) and that was  REALLY unusual at the time.... I always used to get annoyed when people spelled it Kelly  because to me that was always a surname. That was a trend a few years ago... well I suppose it still is, using surnames for forenames. I remember Morgan Fairchild, hers was the first I ever heard, then as I said in my first post, people adopted it for a boy or a girl. Names like Leslie//Lesley,,, I was never keen on that can be either/ or, I always think of that as a feminine name. (JMO)
You're right Sylv, people don't stop to think about problems like that, I bet the ones stuck with their names get really fed up with them! x
