I agree with you 100%. My post was really trying to show that this was for monetary reasons and nothing to do with individuals. In my experience the government doesn't consider any person and the effects their policies will have on them. It is interesting in the UK how we don't make our feelings known publicly about such decisions. In other countries the public voice is much louder. In the USA for example there is a very loud voice when it comes to supporting their troops. Do you think the public should be more vocal about issues that they don't agree with? Would that be something that could help?
