As a child, my three friends and I (7 or 8 years old) liked to make magazines where we would write stories and illustrate them. Both friends got Petite typewriters. My parents bought me a tin one which you turned round to the letter and pressed a bar.

I was heartbroken!

My sister also used to never get what she really wanted either and neither of us to this day enjoy receiving presents.

We had lovely, loving parents but not good at buying presents.
