Shares plunged, there were lots of calls for people to boycott them when it emerged they'd been given 3.5m compensation approx. 10 times the families compensation and they didn't give to unicef until there was a huge outcry from the public. The family had signed away their right to sue TC when they accepted the compensation from the greek company, not a lot of choice really as they'd allegedly had to remortgate their homes to cover their costs flying to Greece & back for numerous court proceedings. TC tried to stop the UK inquest from even taking place & the family had to appeal direct to the pm to be granted legal aid to fight for the inquest. The only apology was shown to the press last week/week before, before it had even been sent to the family. If the chairman is now apologising it's far too little, far too late and is being done imho as a damage limitation exercise rather than a genuine apology. If they'd genuinely had any remorse they'd have helped the family through it all not tried to push blame on anyone & anything other than themselves.
