I often use Special Delivery for parcels to reach the South of England the following day. The most recent was a large box costing £6.00 total and regardless of our location, it did (and always does) arrive on schedule. C&C charge way over that price for three items or more using 2nd Class post. The packaging surely doesn't justify the cost. The speed of delivery doesn't either, if, indeed it arrives at all. So location is no excuse whatsoever. And what's the difference in a remote location on the UK Mainland e.g. Scottish Highlands, Yorkshire Dales or the wilds of Dartmoor? None whatsoever. Royal Mail delivers everywhere.
