The 10,000 steps challenge is a way of us all being able to support each other really - you can get a pedometer quite cheaply and wear it all day - and hopefully we can all work towards an average of 10,000 steps :)

As for the diet, I joined Rosemary Conley online after Chrisb's advice and have found it extremely useful - there are various tactics you can use to loose the weight and there is online support which is extremely handy. I like it because I can tailor it to my needs and don't have to go along to meetings :)

Other people here follow a variety of diets, including Weight Watchers and Slimming World - it's all about personal preference really.

I hope that you find the regime that suits you and are able to gain support from this part of the forum.
