Jacqui back ups are putting all the information that is on your computer onto CD-Rs or CD-RWs, that is all the information/files etc that you would hate to lose. I also use those little memory pens as they are small but hold a heck of a lot of files, photos, etc. While I was designing our web site I made several back ups of the work in progress as well as the completed site.
I organised my CD-RWs and have put themed files, photos on to different disks so, for example, all craft templates on one disk, family photos on another, photos of plants, flowers on another etc. Then written on each disk what that disk contains.
I also save to another disk the various programmes I have on my computer that I don't have disks for; in this case you save the setup/executable file. Hope that helps for future emergencies.
