Lovely card. Think I've got a flower loom somewhere too. Unfortunately at the moment I can't find where somewhere is.

I used to do lots of crochet and would recommend you start with a 4mm crochet hook and a ball of double knitting thickness crepe (doesn't split so easily) yarn, if you are using wool - otherwise cotton of a similar thickness. Practise making a long chain and keep pulling it out and re-doing. All crochet stitches are made up, using the chain principle. Once you find making the chain easy, you will probably find that you are holding your hook correctly and can keep the yarn correctly tensioned over your hand. Good luck.
