You've every right to be annoyed, this so called service is ridiculous. Why can't companies be honest, if they said however many weeks and stuck by it you wouldn't mind, but I'm sure they underestimate so as not to lose a sale and then muck you about. By rights they should only have expected you pay half, as you only got half. I think you're right to make them wait otherwise you may never get what you ordered. I think your husband deserves spoiling for his sacrifice and I hope his back doesn't suffer.
