One of the TV card makers, can't remember which, said that talc isn't always so good, you are better to use cornflour.

For wedding cards, though, I would use a proper anti static bag. Wipe down with a soft cloth afterwards to remove all traces.

If it does seem to be a problem, you could try using clear powder onto an ultimate metallic gold ink pad. The slight difference in the embossing would be made up for by a more professional finish. That is what people notice.
