Well now, welcome to the caravanning way of life. I have never caravanned before, nor hubby and he was very anti! Didn't want to be towing a shed around behind him. We bought a 2001 Bailey in October, it stayed in storage until March/April this year, and we absolutely love it! We belong to the Caravan Club and have only used the small CL sites, which only take 5 vans at a time. We have met some lovely people and are booked to go away again at the beginning of August, the end and again in September and will be away in between as well once I book up! We have an end wash room with shower, toilet and hand basin and central heating too. Lovely! It makes you very aware of how much water you use at home and heating! Only downside so far is the sleeping, which lets face it is important, but hopefully once we relax enough when we are away it will not be a problem. (Hubby is 6ft 4 !) The people on the sites always help you, no snobbery whatsoever, so ignore what you have been told, it is not true! We shall be going to Black Knowle Caravan Site in September which is very very popular as it is in the New Forest, it is also a caravan club members only site I think! Hope that helps, I am sure you will have fab times away. Good luck, and oh yes, hubby was very unsure of towing but once you get on with it, it is fine ............ not done it myself yet though! xxx
