Hello everyone, I've just joined the forum after reading through everything for the last week and deciding that you all sound very friendly. I'm Valerie, called dilly by my dad since I was very small, I've been married 37 years this coming August, have a son Matthew (31) and a daughter Claire (35) and two adorable grandsons Thomas aged nearly six and Louis nine months (both belonging to Claire and her husband Steve). I'm just a bit mad about animals and at the moment have six cats, two dogs and a snake who are all slightly odd (you have to be to live in this house!) I've been crafting all my life, it started with knitting when I was four and kind of gathered momentum as I went along. I love making cards which I started about three years ago and I'm about to start scrapbooking, I also knit, sew, do cross stitch, tapestry, glass paint, sketch, and occasionally make bears though not as often as I used to. It sounds a lot but it's all things in moderation these days as I have some problems that have slowed me down a bit which is very frustrating but I do as much as I can as often as I can, that seems to be the best way to deal with it. I found Joanna's site a long time ago when I bought some pressed flowers and just looked in again recently and there's so much that I would love, especially the beautiful rubber stamps but I think if I bought much more at the moment the house would burst at the seams, my husband reckons I've enough to start several craft shops of my own but it's strange that I never seem to have what I need and have to buy more. I love looking round craft shops but the trouble is I can't just look, it's annoying that we don't have craft shops in this area, only one or two very small ones, so it means travelling to find nice big ones to spend my non existent money in, I most often buy online now. Well that's certainly enough about me, I've enjoyed reading about all of you and I'm happy to have found you and look forward to chatting and getting to know you all.
Take care,
dilly xx
