Hi everyone, I've already put a bit about myself on a new thread but I've just noticed this one and I guess it's better to keep it all together so to speak! My name is Lorraine but everyone in the crafting world who knows me calls me lorry. I think I may know a few of you already - Shorty, Cassie and Lubeloo - is that really you? Lol!!! I'm still mad as ever.

I'm 52 and have been married to the long-suffering Richard for 36 years in November. We moved to Skye from Hertfordshire 2 years ago and thought that we could build a house within 6 months - how wrong could we be!!!! Our house is almost finished 2 years later, and we're planning to open it as a B&B and craft retreat this summer. I've been collecting stash like crazy before all our money runs out :rollin - ssshhhh... don't tell Richard, he'll go mad!

Richard was an electronics engineer before we moved here but now he works in the local Co-op on the checkouts 3 days a week (with all the other old women I remind him constantly) - I DREAD the day he retires properly, I think I'll have to get my studio soundproofed and with a steel door so I can't hear him droning on and moaning for Britain like he does (bless him:lol )!

We have 2 daughters, Verity 32 and Tiffany 29, who both live in the south of England so we don't get to see them very often. I'm sure they don't mind, but I do miss them sometimes. Still, we have Gus, our huge, gorgeous and very naughty ginger tom cat to keep us occupied. He got us as a rescue cat last year and now he wouldn't part with us as he's totally spoilt.

I've been crafting for about 4 years, I love scrapbooking, especially on-the-wall canvases, cardmaking (esp. Anna Griffin/vintage and shabby-chic style), and watercolour painting. I'm a great fan of Joanna's, I agree with previous posters about her superb customer service, and I also used to love the way she kept A&B under control on her shows!

That's more than enough about me. Thanks for getting this far!
