Hello my name is Diane,
username jummy (my mother's nickname when she was a child)

I am extremely new to forums but have enjoyed reading and joining in,(although I sometimes feel a bit like a gatecrasher and you must wonder who this odd person is) so I thought I would put a few details about myself.

I am 41 years old (42! on the 7th of May) and I live in Norfolk in the village where I was born (it is a very nice place to live).

I have always loved 'making things' and I was lucky to work as a teaching assistant for twenty years and spent most of my time up to my elbows in paint (amongst other things).
Now I indulge my creativity with card making and scrapbooking. Life has dealt me a few blows so I decided to have a change and have retrained as a library assistant and work on a temp basis.

I lost my wonderful mother in 1996 and my dad in 2000 but then my life changed forever in 2003 when my eldest daughter was killed in a car accident. She was 17 years old and a daughter that I was extremely proud of, but as much as my heart aches at not having her here, I am lucky to have so many precious and happy memories of her. I am also extremely fortunate to have my other daughter (who has just turned eighteen) she is a ray of sunshine and a great friend.
My other best friend is my wonderful husband Steve who is a bit of a craft widower but extremely indulgent of my crafting addiction.
I could say craft has kept me sane through all the bad times but I don't think I was totally sane before!!

wow this is a bit long.. sorry..and when I say about feeling like a gatecrasher it's not a reflection on how anyone has made me feel. I have been made to feel most welcome
THANKYOU

Off to watch Sharpe now (Sean Bean is yummy!):) x
