Suggest you have a good look at the number of dpi (dots per square inch) - the more the better the printed detail, and then compare that to other printers. I seem to remember (but stand to be corrected) that there are others out there that might be a bit better. I recently trawled through quite a few before deciding on a Canon printer - each of the colours and the black and white on mine cost about £10 each, so much better value than my old Lexmark.
