My Recent Posts
Hello everyone, my name is Rosemary (did you guess?) I`m 67 years old and have been crafting for more years than I care to remember. I think I`ve tried most things at some time or other but over the years my main craft has been sewing. I was a machinist for about 40 years making clothes for M&S, C&A and Littlewoods amongst others, but still liked to make my own clothes in my spare time although I don`t do so much now. I also did a lot of knitting, in fact I owned a wool shop for a while before I retired. Cross stitch, macrame, quilting and latterly card making are some of the things I have enjoyed. One thing I have tried but never mastered was tatting, I`d love to be able to do that.
I have been married to John for 24 years, my second husband - I lost my first husband in 1978 - and I don`t know what I`d do without him. For the last 3 years I have been fighting cancer and John has done everything for me. I have had very bad reactions from the chemo and he has never complained once that he can`t do what he would like to at any time. My overriding wish is that we can celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary next September. He is my soulmate.
I have one son who will be 48 next week, can`t believe I`ve got a child who is nearly 50!! Unfortunately, no grandchildren but I do come from a very large family (I am number 7 of 10 children!) so am an aunt to 31, great and great great aunt to the numerous offspring of my brothers & sisters. We do not give each other Christmas presents, I`ll give you one guess why!!
I would love another dog, we lost our Pom 4 years ago, but can`t have another one for obvious reasons. I adore animals, apart from dogs I have a "thing" about Orang Utans, beautiful creatures.
