Here it goes, just joined and my first post already.

Here's my details:
Name: Katrina
Age: 27yrs 28 in March
Location: Tamworth
Job: Duty Manager in a Out of School Club (with in a primary school 4yrs to 11yrs)
Family on Here: cshcrafty (mother)

General Information: I have always been a arty/crafty person ever since I was little, 1st it was cross stitching, knitting, then at school did sewing and made a waistcoat, cushions and a christmas stocking (that I still have). The over the last couple of years I have been making cards, atc's and have a picture of small embossed pictures that I framed.

A few years ago I had to give up my fav job as I have a back problem (that I have for life) that ended my career as an outdoor activity instructor but I did get another job, then I had a bit of a break down and ended up with depression. People say you never really get over having depression, but while having to have 3months off work I completed 3 learn direct courses and traced some of my family tree going back to the 1600's (I think). After a while I wanted something new to do so starting by making atc's and swapping them with lots of wonderful people, and that got me into making my own cards. I thought I woulddn't be too good at it but after a while my crafting skills came back and haven't stopped since. Last year I made a small embossed picture that I framed and is now hanging on my wall in my room, that has giving me ideas for my next project.
I now want to concentrate on making more of these pictures with different colours, backgrounds and stamps to make as gifts for people, then you never know in the future I might be able to sell them. Luckly I am in a wonderful relationship (2yrs in March) with a man who loves me and doesn't care about my back problem and encourages me to do more crafting as he finds me talented.

Looking around this site I can see there is so many talented, wonderful people and im hoping I can get ideas of you all and also help people myself. Working in a school I am always looking for ideas to do crafting sessions with the children, but it is so hard to be able to find things to do that doesn't cost a lot as don't have a high buget and also something that is easy as have to cover half of the age range I work with what is 4yrs to 8ys (we split group into 2 age ranges over 8's and under 8's my wonderful lot). Hopefully you wonderful people will be able to help me with this.

Reading through this topic I see there are so many wonderful people on there and can't wait to start making friends and getting to know you all.

Love and Hugs to all

Katrina
