I've sold a fair bit on e-bay in the past and it is easy to set up and do - only tip I would give is make sure that you full describe the item - so many people just put things like "butterfly punch" and that's it. Anyone interested in buying will want the make, size, how much it's been used, etc and as Lavender says, always add something to show the size as well as putting it into the text.

Keep the ad costs down by putting just one or two photos but always put a photo in the "heading" so it shows when people are scrolling through the items.......... I very rarely look at anything that doesn't have a photo alongside the item.

Make sure that your p&p is adequate too - got caught out several times not allowing enough for it so add a little on to make sure you don't lose out. And start low unless you really want a minimum amount for something - people see at start price of say £10.00 and will go past and not look - see a start price of 99p and they'll ALWAYS look.

It's fun watching and seeing what happens as the days go past though - especially if the amount bid goes over what you thought you'd get - I sold a silver matchbox on there some time ago and the final bid was way over what I was hoping for. Was a very happy bunny that day!

Happy selling.
