Hello everyone.

My name is Sue, I am 62 and live in Jersey. I am divorced with two grown children and two grandchildren, a grandson who was two on Christmas Day and a granddaughter who is three weeks old today.

I have been crafting since I was a very small child, mostly knitting and sewing back then, both crafts I continued to do for many years, I also liked to draw although I don't have much in the way of talent. I used to do tapestry and other canvas work although haven't for many years.

Due to ill health in 2005 I lost my job which wasn't much fun after almost losing my life, finding a new career at 58 isn't really an option especially when you have my medical history so I am now retired. Retirement left me with daytime television, and shopping channels. My first venture into card making was buying a kit and making my Christmas cards for Christmas 2006, I then found Create and Craft and the demonstrations. I watch avidly and have learnt many different techniques including parchment (Christine Coleman is a sweetie and so talented). I adore Joanna's CDs of which I have many, and I have already threatened to send her my bill for paper and ink as when I receive a new CD I end up with a great pile of printed sheets.

As I live alone there is no one to make me clear up so my house has been taken over by paper and other craft items, I really need to try to get it into some sort of order except I start to tidy and find a forgotten treasure so end up playing with it, creating even more mess.

I don't sell my cards, I end up giving them to friends and to charities.  I really need to make some more for the Cancer Research Appeal and also for the Salvation Army.  I also help at our local ShopMobility once a week which is fun too, oh and I promised them some cards too.
