It sounds like it has been manufactured to tolerances that are too large so bits are catching. Spellbinders had that problem with the raspberry wizard. The demo models had been made to a higher specification than the retail ones.

The things like the cropodile and big bite are built really well and this design is also well thought out for a binding machine. I am sorry they have been let down by their manufacturer. I sometimes think that QVC (and C&C probably) want such large quantities that factories promise them but become sloppy trying to deliver.
