We lost an elderly aunt on the 13th December, by the time we could get out the house with the weather and sort all the paperwork it was Christmas Eve, by then all the funeral directors were closed for the Christmas break so I finally organised a funeral for the 21st January. They are incredibly busy at this time of the year.

I felt guilty that it has taken so long but there was not much I could do in the circumstances. She was not a religious lady so her service will be simple - no hymns - we have ordered a locally made wicker casket for her and the flowers will be bright and cheerful as she was a prize winning gardner so I hope we have done our best.
