Hello everyone

I just spent the last 15 minutes writing to you all and then moved my mouse and lost everything, so here I am again!!!! My name is Anne but sometimes I am called Annie and I live in Portgordon which is a fishing village on the coast of the Moray Firth, which leads to the North Sea, with my husband, Philip, and our 2 border collies Jazz and Bess, who we both adore........in a really soppy way:D My main crafty passion is card-making. My life story is not very exciting, but to me it deserves a book written about it ..............only joking!!!!

Brought up in Scotland and eventually moved to Somerset where I stayed for 32 years. Came home to Scotland in 2002. Work for me started as an optician's receptionist ----------had by 2 sons Robert and colin ----------- then went to work in retail in fashion and then landed a lovely department manager's position for a soft furnishing manufacturer, which I really loved. Eventually a friend introduced me to working with homeless young people aged 16 - 30 from which I eventually went on to manage a hostel for young single pregnant girls with addictions. I really really loved my job. When I had joined a fabulous company in a large direct access hostel my hubby decided we should move back to Scotland:eek Although it was really scary it was eventually the right thing to do.

I helped set up a homeless unit in a nearby town and carried on working for 4 years, during which time I had a heart attack and re-evaluated my lifestyle. I left there and worked with learning disabled people for a year arranging social activities and weekend holidays for them and from there I ended up being a supervisor for staff who lived-in with learning disabled adults across Aberdeenshire. Again I only worked there for a year and decided to knock it on the head when I realised I was leaving at 6.30 a.m. and not getting home until 9.00 p.m.some nights. It was a fabulous job but I wanted a better home life. Throughout my careers I gained a lot of qualifications including that of Pastoral and Clinical Counselling and Advanced Hypnotherapy so I set up on my own working from home!

Now I have retired and spend my days crafting, surfing the net, playing my fiddle and I'm involved in Buckie Arts and crafts group, which we set up 18 months ago. We have put on 3 craft fairs and our next one is on April 16th so I need to be making cards for that:)

I love learning new things to do with crafting and look forward to sharing photos with you and ideas and learning lots from everybody.

I hope I haven't bored you all rigid.

love and hugs

Annie xxx
