I love it that my Grandies want to craft with me.Ethan is 8 (nearly 9) and Kaitlin is just 7. We do all sorts from card making to jewellery, painting to pressing flowers.  I used to have to hide everything  because my craft room was the place  they always wanted  to dive into. I've got a Big Shot Express, but kaitlin loves my Cuttlebug, and I have SO many embossed folders done by her that I'm sure I'll NEVER use them all. They both just love punches, and will sit quite happily making little scenes from all the different ones I have. Thing is, my daughter doesn't like the "rubbish!!" and says they have enough at home (thanks very much) so I literally have thousands of balloons, butterflies, cars  and you name it, I've got it, all punched out! . I haven't let them near my promarkers yet, but Ethan loves drawing and colouring and he's very neat and tidy, so next time they come to stay, I just might.....MIGHT, let him have a go with them.
I never had the spare time to craft much with my own children, but now, I have all the time in the world, and I love every minute of it, mess and all! xx
One thing I feel really proud about, is that kaitlin now makes all her friends birthday cards, and she's learned from me, so I'm chuffed to bits.
